We believe moving those experiencing homelessness into safe, secure and sustainable housing opens the door to a better life.
For many people experiencing homelessness they are living hour-to-hour, or day-to-day to survive. A safe and stable place to live is out of reach and one of the many basic needs they cannot afford. Even with above-and-beyond efforts of public service workers those experiencing homelessness may still not have enough options to improve the quality of their lives. Security deposits, application fees, first and last month’s rent and utility deposits add up quickly – making it difficult to secure housing. Housing Trust is here to help.
How it Helps
The Finally Home Security Deposit program provides a one-time grant up to $2,500 to individuals and families moving to permanent sustainable housing. Applications are made by partner agencies, and priority is given to individuals or families with the greatest need – those who can sustainably remain in permanent housing and are able to demonstrate long-term self-sufficiency.
