Housing Trust made a $2 million loan to BRIDGE Housing for a 181 home development just a block from the Fruitvale BART station in Oakland. A joint venture between BRIDGE Housing and The Unity Council, about ¼ of the homes will be intended for formerly homeless households and a nonprofit is expected to move into the ground floor commercial space.
Housing Trust provided a $700,000 predevelopment loan as well as a $500,000 55-year deferred permanent loan with gap financing for the expansion of Shorebreeze, a MidPen project in Mountain View. The expansion will renovate 108 existing homes and replace 12 older units with 62 new homes
Housing Trust made a $6.4 million loan to Affirmed Housing Group to acquire a site in Redwood City – drawing from our TECH Fund, which has helped finance over 3,000 homes since its creation in 2017. This Affirmed Housing project will add 90 homes to the 55 that Housing Trust previously funded by preservation of affordable homes at Atherton Court in 2016.
