Michael Bannen joined Housing Trust as a Loan Officer in March 2020. In this role, he works to underwrite predevelopment, acquisition, and bridge-loan financing to expand Housing Trust’s greater Bay Area footprint. Mike began his career at Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco as an insurance auditor and moved to Minneapolis to be an analyst in a commercial real estate production office. He returned to San Francisco to work in Wells’ Community Lending & Investment group, where he began his work in affordable housing. He has volunteered tutoring adults pursuing their GED, computer literacy skills, and English as a Second Language, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Santa Clara University.
