Pam Berkowitz joined Housing Trust as Senior Loan Officer in June 2016, was promoted to Director in 2019 and was named Vice President of Multifamily Lending in June 2021. In this role, Pam works to increase Housing Trust’s footprint in the Great Bay Area and provide leadership to the multifamily loan team whose activities include underwriting predevelopment, acquisition, and bridge loan. She is involved in the management of several of Housing Trust’s lending partnerships. Pam began her career in New York as a housing analyst where she helped develop Standard & Poor’s (S&P) multifamily affordable housing criteria, and then became the first housing analyst in S&P’s San Francisco office to act as a primary analyst or chairperson for multiple single and multifamily transactions. She volunteers regularly in her community and is currently a board member for California Association of Local Housing Financial Agencies (CAL-ALHFA). She earned her BA in Sociology and Economics from the State University of NY at Binghamton and her MBA in Finance from Baruch College.
