Housing Trust is proud to announce LinkedIn’s Katie Ferrick and Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s Ahmad Thomas have joined our Board of Directors.
Katie Ferrick is the Senior Director of Community Development, Sustainability, and Workplace Programs at LinkedIn. In 2019, she was named Housing Champion by Housing Trust Silicon Valley for her work in bringing LinkedIn aboard as the first private sector investor of TECH Fund, an investment vehicle created in 2017 to enable philanthropists and Bay Area employers to be part of the affordable housing solution. She wrote about that effort – and her own history with affordable housing – in a January 2019 LinkedIn post.
Ahmad Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. He has over 20 years of experience working in and on behalf of nonprofit organizations, governments, and businesses. Prior to joining SVLG he worked as an investment banker at Barclays and has also served as a senior aide to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein. Silicon Valley Leadership Group itself has a long history with Housing Trust as the organization, along with the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, formed Housing Trust in 2000.
