Housing Trust Silicon Valley warmly welcomes Mukhtar Barna, who joins us as Senior Fund Accountant. His responsibilities will include guiding the growth of a fund we are managing on behalf of a large tech company, as well as contributing to Housing Trust’s accounting, analysis, and reporting.
Mukhtar speaks six languages. He was the recipient of a Fulbright, DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, a German Academic Exchange Service), and ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) Scholarship.
Prior to Housing Trust, Mukhtar spent nine years working with Washington based nonprofit organizations and USAID implementing partners in Afghanistan, including Blumont Global Development and Chemonics International.
Mukhtar holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Pune University in India and a Master’s in Finance from Tulane University in New Orleans.
In 2019, Mukhtar moved to the United States from Afghanistan with his wife and four kids.
