Please Welcome Craig – Our New Chief Impact Officer

Craig Mizushima, our new Chief Impact Officer, with Kevin Zwick

This week Craig Mizushima joined Housing Trust as Chief Impact Officer (CIO), a new position at our organization.

In this role he will be leading Housing Trust’s new program development and will oversee the Asset Management department as well as its impact reporting. Craig brings over 30 years experience in community and economic development, affordable housing and commercial real estate.

For the last four years Craig served nonprofits as both a consultant and as Senior Vice President for IFF, a large Midwest CDFI where he oversaw loan volume growth to over $100 million annually and the deployment of over $130 million in New Markets Tax Credits awards supporting community development. Craig had previously spent over 20 years in banking management roles at U.S. Bank, BMO/Harris Bank, and the Northern Trust, and has also lead development programs for the City of Chicago and the Chicago Housing Authority. He holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning & Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor’s Degree from Northeaster Illinois University.
