Yesterday, the same day our Homeownership Team had their first Empower Homebuyers SCC webinar, Sonya Singha, a member of our ADU team, took part in an online panel discussion of financing an ADU. Both are just a warm-up for the growing list of coming events in May as SV@Home opens Affordable Housing Month. The theme for this year’s AHM is Be My Neighbor and it will be different from those that preceded it due to COVID-19, but SV@Home and its partners are committed to make Affordable Housing Month stand out with a lot of amazing online events, celebrations, and guest speakers.
Spread the word about Affordable Housing Month – the hashtags are #BeMyNeighbor and #AHM2020 – and sign up for as many events as you can. Housing Trust’s own Kevin Zwick will be on the SPUR panel on May 14th and we’ll have additional AHM events – including our popular Affordable Housing Finance 101 – to share with you soon, so check the SV@Home Calendar for Affordable Housing Month events frequently!
