Affordable Housing Month activities continue and yesterday we were back in Santa Cruz for another community event. A new 128-unit community is one step closer to transforming lives in downtown Santa Cruz. Developed by our partners, @For the Future Housing and Eden Housing, Pacific Station North Apartments broke ground with a festive community celebration.
This development, located between Pacific Avenue and Front Street, is the final phase of the large-scale, transit-oriented Pacific Station initiative. We’re honored to have supported this project with a predevelopment loan through our TECH Fund and our Monterey Bay Housing Trust, in collaboration with our financial partner, the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership.
We also provided early funding to the first phase next door, Pacific Station South and are excited to see the 69-unit project nearly complete!
A big congratulations and THANK YOU to all the public and private partners who helped make this new community a reality:
Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz
California Department of Housing & Community Development
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
California State Treasurer Fiona Ma’s Office
California Municipal Finance Authority
Santa Cruz METRO Transit District
At Housing Trust, we are committed to enhancing the lives of under-resourced households in the South Bay and the greater Bay Area region by using transformative housing finance and public and private partnerships to create more equitable and affordable communities. Stay tuned for more updates as this project progresses!
