We love celebrating a new housing community developed by our mission-driven partners! The Kelsey Ayer Station, a new, vibrant, affordable community, has officially opened its doors just blocks from downtown City of San José. Designed with accessibility in mind, it accommodates residents with diverse access needs, offers affordability to those with the lowest incomes, and promotes inclusivity for people with and without disabilities.
The Kelsey is reframing the conversation around accessible housing and community inclusivity, setting a new standard for how we think about living spaces. Check out this inspiring video from Judy Woodruff’s “Disability Reframed” PBS series to learn more about the hurdles people with disabilities face amid the national housing shortage: https://bit.ly/TheKelseyPBSVideo.
Congratulations to The Kelsey, all the public and private partners, and disability forward champions who brought this project to life! It’s a beautiful, inclusive addition to our community.
