Investor Briefing – CANCELLED
March 13, 2020 @ 12:00 am
Like you, we’ve been watching the news about coronavirus and following the advice of Santa Clara County Public Health Department to postpone or cancel mass gatherings. To that end, we are announcing today that we are cancelling our annual Investor Briefing scheduled for March 13. It was a disappointing decision to make given the knowledge that would have been shared from the stage by our amazing line up of speakers and that would have been shared as connections were made among our incredible group of attendees. However, we, along with many others in our community, are heeding the call all do our part to help slowdown the spread of covid-19 and protect the health of everyone.
We would like to thank our speakers:
United States Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, Representing California’s 19th District
Ruth Porat, CFO of Google
Jason Elliott, Senior Counselor for Housing and Homelessness, Office of Governor Gavin Newsom
County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors President Cindy Chavez
Mayor Sam Liccardo, City of San Jose
Carl Guardino, CEO, Silicon Valley Leadership Group and founding board member
Leslee Guardino, Principal of Snow Canyon Consulting and founding board member
Linda Mandolini, President of Eden Housing, founding board member Housing Trust and Housing Champion Awardee
Laura Jones, Elementary schoolteacher and Empower Homebuyer SCC homeowner
Presenting Resolutions
Senator Jim Beall
Assemblymembers Kansen Chu, Evan Low, Marc Berman & Ash Kalra
In addition to celebrating the collective work of Housing Trust and our partners and providing an update on the affordable housing landscape in the region, this event is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we want to thank our generous sponsors:
We are grateful for those who purchased tickets. However, if you would like to request a refund please reach out to triciaf@housingtrustsv.org.
In closing, the theme of this year’s Investor Briefing is Bolder Measures, Greater Equity. This idea shapes our work, this year and beyond and while we won’t be sharing this sentiment in person next Friday, we are brainstorming ways to share this message and inspire action.
Thank you for supporting our work and our mission and be healthy.
